FERTILIZER ANALYSIS

Fertilizer is a substance naturally or artificially prepared which is used to improve the soil fertility and meet the nutritional needs of plants. The fertilizer enhances the natural content of the soil by replenishing the nutrients absorbed by previous crops. Fertilizers depending on the way it is produced are divided into chemical and organic.
Chemical fertilizers are those which, regardless of their nutrient content, are produced industrially by either natural or chemical processes.
Organic fertilizers come either from biological and / or chemical decomposition or treatment of the same materials of plant or animal origin or a mixture, or from wastewater treatment of urban, industrial or domestic origin.
Basic fertilizer analysis includes:

Additional analyzes that can be performed are either physical

or chemical

Proper design is essential for proper sampling. If the amount of fertilizer is large, you will need to take a sample from several places and mix it well so that a representative sample is delivered to the laboratory. In case the fertilizer is solid the final sample sent to the laboratory should be one kilo, in case of liquid fertilizer it is one liter.
